Zumba - 1 hr

I had a doc appt for the first time in 2 mo (whoops - got busy with the holidays). I weighed in at 145.  I had been thinking that i was measuring big, and was wondering about gestational diabetes (ugh, that would be all I need).  My heart rate was normal though, and I was measuring just fine.  Why do i feel so big? Maybe cause everyone thinks that I'm going to be delivering in the next couple of weeks (nope 7 more weeks).   Baby's heart is healthy, but got a good talking to from my midwife about staying on top of my appointments:)

My midwife is great about allowing exercise, but also recommended that I start brisk walking instead of running to prevent uterine prolapse....hmmm. not sure how I feel about that.  I feel like my running style is quite smooth and there's not much bounce.  I'll prob keep running, but will try to just be reallly smart about it.

What an awesome run day!  I was so happy to be able to run with my little guys.  Evan (5) ran first.  It was pretty slow, but he got his 2 miles in (he's doing the 5k at the 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks).  I'm so proud of him.  He did complain a bit more than usual, and I really think his shoes kind of slowed him down.  Time to look into getting him some frees.

Isaac (2) went out with me for a half mile, and actually ran most of it.  He ran just as fast as his brother too:)  I finished up with 2.5 more at a 10 min mile pace.

walking around costco later, i did notice that my right heel was starting to bug a little, and my feet and calves have just been plain sore lately.  I used my trigger points book and got jim to work on them (and yeah it hurt!)  They do feel better now.

Today was the first time I thought to myself that I may not make it much further teaching zumba.  The shaking and crunching in my core was not only hard, but kind of painful.  i had  a lot of good students in class who knew what they were doing, so it made my job easier... it was just frustrating:(  I'm not quite ready to give up yet but may have to.

I only had time for a couple miles today on the tread, but it felt pretty good. warmed up for 6 min, wore belly belt and compressions, and ran some inclines. I'm putting along at a 5.0-5.5, but I'm still running:)

My belly is absolute getting huge, and with 6.5 weeks left, I don't know where it's going to go! i hold all of it out front. I'm weighing in at 145.

I got to enjoy a unusually warm day at the park with all my friends, and it's been really nice to talk to people who have all birthed naturally without much grace:) (screaming, cussing, and whining). I've been apprehensive about this birth. Last time was my first time natural, and I went in not knowing how bad it was going to be (it was way worse lol). Now I know and I'm dreading it. I think it's normal though, I'll be happy to hold this sweet girl in my arms though.

I taught Zumba tonight and had another instructor be my demo person. it helped a lot as my movement has gone down to minimal in my core. It is getting soo hard! I can't wait to be able to go to classes and not have to perform.

The plan was to go and run/walk the 5k with Evan and watch my hubby and friends come in on the st george half.  Well rain squashed that idea, so I ended up watching (which was really fun). All of them got serious p.r.s somehow on that course.

I ran/ walked on the tread later on since the rain did not abate.  I went for an hour/ running every 10 min - increased the incline from 9 -13% and walked in between. I was happy to get 4 running sessions in, though my hips were telling me about it later.

Run/walk on the tread, and lots of packing to go on our trip.  Jim was out of town, so I had to do everything myself (and get the house cleaned).  Is it just me or does every woman hate to leave town with a dirty house.  I just hate coming back to it that way.  I was exhausted!

Another not so happy visit to the midwife/nurse.  As she was checking my belly she noticed that it was looking lumpy.  After further inspection, she figured out that the baby was laying transverse (the worst position they can be in at this point cause they can't come out normally during labor - most have to have c-sections...ugh.  She did an ultrasound to make sure (and also made sure she was a girl:))   I also found out that I have  strep-b again!! and have to be on the drip antibiotic 2 hours before baby is born.  It's not a huge deal, just a pain.

However I left the office feeling discouraged after the talk of c-sections, and having to come in the following week to have her turned.  a doc has to do it, and I guess it's pretty painful.  Hopefully she flips on her own!

By the end of the day, she had turned, but she felt breach - I really didn't want to have to worry about this!

Today was my grandpa's 100th birthday celebration - He is such an amazing man and I really admire the life he and my grandma lived.  He's so positive and loving, and he looks amazing for a 100 year old!  He still goes and does a stationary bike 3 x a week for 30 min.  More proof that exercise is the key to longevity.

I managed to get in a run/walk (and it killed me!)  I don't want to admit it but I barely made it back.  I walked all but 15 min of it - I ran 1 - 5 min segment, then 2 - 10 min segments where I ran every other min.  That's about all I can do at this time.

We had a big dinner in the church gym, and played lightening with basketball afterwards.  We have a lot of tall, good athletes in our fam, so I was delighted to be able to hold my own with them - I got a lot of "Ty what are you doing!  You are 9 mo pregnant".  lol.  We had a ton of fun though!

After all the traveling it felt good to get on the tread and walk/ run a bit before my appt.  (very little running).  Prob 12-15 min total on the run.

I got a little frustrated and upset after the appt as I thought I'd be a lot closer than I was.  I was only dilated to a 1.5 and she was still sitting high.  I'm really trying to be patient!  So preggo hormones got the better of me, and I broke down a few times.  I can't wait to get back to normal!

Jim surprised me and took me out to Benja's tonight for Valentine's Day:)  It was sooo yummy, except I ordered my red curry a little too spicy.  i had ordered a level 5 last time, and it wasn't even that spicy...That must have been a mistake because I could only get through half my meal.  It was sooo good though:)

Today was kind of a rough day for me.  I had been kind of anti-social lately cause I just get tired of people's comments.  I know people don't mean to make me feel bad, but comments such as,"oh my gosh, you are huge!!!"  don't sit well with me.  I already know that I look like I have an entire basketball sticking out the front, and that it looks kind of funny on my small frame, but it just gets old I guess.  Maybe I'm just being a little extra sensitive and just really ready to get this baby out!  (due date is next fri).

So anyways I went to Turbokick this morning, and got this reaction.  Lots of oh man, oh my gosh, holy cow....ugh!  It felt good to get a hard workout in, and had lots of contractions from it.  later on I went to train my clients for the last time at the rec center, and the front desk lady actually gasped at me.  Seriously what is wrong with people!

Ok I know it will be over soon but I just had to get this off of my chest.  Don't tell pregnant ladies that they look huge!  We don't differentiate a huge belly from huge thighs, or a huge butt.

My tiredness is really getting to me!  I still managed to run/walk on the treadmill for an hour, and I really barely made it.  i only ran 3 - 1 min segments and it just killed (lots of pressure on pelvic region).  So I walked up inclines and on flat segments.  By the end I had slowed to about 2 on the tread.  I really think she's getting close:)

I was having lots of contractions today, so I decided not to do any extra exercise.  The baby felt really low, and it was uncomfortable just doing the chores around the house.  Is this going to happen soon????

Sleep has been a real prob this last month.  My nose is always congested and I have to use nose spray daily (not good).  I'm still feeling like I can't breathe when I lay down.  And I've had to use sleeping pills lately or else I wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning and can't go back to sleep.  They make me feel groggy all day but at least i'm getting some sleep.

My first run back!!!!! I walked 1 and ran 2 on the tread today.  It felt a little hard and i had to back off a bit - even at a 12 min mile.  It's so hard when i am ready to go!  insides were a bit wobbly and crampy, but my body feels great.  It feels so good to be running without a 10 lb baby inside!

At night I had a lot of energy, and did my zumba dvd at home....while my belly jiggled all over the place.  This thing is not going down very fast, that's for sure.

Run on the treadmill - I felt bad cause I had to let my baby cry to get through the last mile.  I was going insane that day cause she was super fussy all day and I had to get my frustration out.  I keep kidding myself that dairy is not affecting her, but I think I'm giving in and totally getting it out of my diet (sigh).  bye bye ice cream, cheese, milk, yogurt, chocolate:-(.

Later on i finally got her to sleep, and did 20 min of insanity cardio workout.  whew!

I was still getting the dairy out of my system, so another fussy day with little ivy.  It got to be super emotional right around 5 pm when I was about to lose it.  Ivy hadn't slept more than 20 min at a time all day, and she was super fussy, overtired, and irritable.  i had spent my whole day trying to get her to sleep, and my poor boys were completely neglected.  Well apparently my limit had been reached, because the Lord stepped in.  At 7 pm, the young women showed up at my door with cleaning supplies in tow.  They were going to clean my house and watch my kids while i took a bath!  I can't even explain how much this strengthened my testimony - The Lord was the only one who knew how hard my day had been.

Well in typical fashion, i asked if they would mind if i ran instead of took a bath.  I needed to get out of the house.  i ran around the water tower loop, and it felt amazing!  It was still 9:30-10 min miles, but that was the first run by myself since i had the baby.  I will be back in shape in no time.  I came back refreshed and renewed and ready to face the next day:)

Another great day with Ivy, and another beautiful run with the running stroller. I was only going to go 3, but felt great and got one more in.  The weather was fabulous, and i felt so relaxed.  Ivy fell asleep in the stroller, and twice in my harness throughout the day.  And then she slept from 2 to 8 pm:)  She has been smiling lots today, and can focus her eyes and look around.  It's so fun to see her achieve these milestones.

Later did some upper body insanity.

6 week appt with midwife today.  I was kind of going in expecting bad news...I was waiting to hear her say I should stop exercising and lay around for a week or so, I had it in my head that that was what I was going to do to.  I'd rather wait it out now, rather than start training hard and then have to stop,

Well everything actually looked good.  My abs are coming together really well, and everything looks healed.  She really thinks the pain in my stomach is my ulcer.  I'm still skeptical cause exercise has never made my ulcers worse before.  She said I could also have organs sticking through still (how nice) and that's causing pain.  Ugh!  I don't know.  She actually wants me to exercise cause she can see how much it helps my emotional state.  I had to say it but I've had a bit postpartum depression and just can't kick it.  Exercise is my drug of choice - so the more i do the happier i am.  She wanted to put me on anti - depressants for a month til i start exercising more but I'm kind of leery of that.

She also said that women can actually bleed like forever after having a baby.  The whole time they r breastfeeding.   Crossing fingers that that wont b me.  Glad to see it's normal though.

I was way happy to be able to come home and exercise, so I went running the first chance i had (10 pm) and it felt sooo good.  I wore a belly wrap to keep it warm, and ran somewhat slow.  But it felt good, and pain was minimal to none in the belly area.  don't know if it was the wrap or the fact that I was going slow.  but hey i'll take it.

I went to zumba today!   yay!  it was so fun...I've really missed it!  I took miss Ivy in with me and she actually sat and watched for like 40 min of it.  She started to get a little tired, so i held her and danced with her for 1 song - She was out:)  It was amazing but she stayed that way for the rest of the class with the music pounding.  It must have felt just like home:)

My stomach however felt awful.  Any move that needed a quick ab movement just killed.  I need to figure this thing out.  It's definitely not my muscle, but something internal.  It's where my ulcer should be on my esophogus down to my stomach on the left side.  I'm sure my organs are all disorganized from having a 10.5 pound baby in there.  I'm hoping it'll work itself out.

Today was a madhouse trying to get my 3 year old's bday party ready.  It was so fun and he was so stinkin cute.  I'm definitely going to tone it down for my 6 year olds next month though.  My stomach was crampy all day today.

I napped with Ivy later, and then decided to run at 11 pm.  It was all on the tread, but it was a good 5 miles!  I'm moving up.  Wore the belly wrap but don't know if I needed it.  I'll try a little without on mon.  I am so ready to just bust out and train hard.

I went to see April today for a massage on my stomach cause it just was not feeling great.  Of course she is a miracle worker, and my stomach feels tons better!  She actually said my problem was with my diaphram and showed me how to massage it out.  Who woulda thunk it?

I want to start training my quads to handle downhills, so i ran to the freeway and back.  My watch died a mile into it,but i think i kept a pretty decent pace.   The wind was freezing and strong to run into, but the run back down was heavenly.

Cross - fit style workout - for time - 20 burpees, 25 jump squats, 20 sit ups  - abs were totally feelilng it! 3 rounds

5 miles around la verkin with stroller.  I took the kids to the park afterward and totally enjoyed the beautiful weather throwing the ball with isaac. I decided to add in daily crossfit style workouts - just doing what i can.  So today I did 8 rounds of 20sec of pushups, froggy crunches, jump squats.  Last sets felt pretty hard.  10sec of rest in between.

Amazing Ivy slept through my entire workout today.  It felt so good to get it all in!  I want to start running daily, but need to add on slowly.  So i did just 1 mile today.  added on 8 rounds of 10 tuck jumps, 15 mountain climbers for time. I kept it at 25 sec for each.  Then i did 50 min of Turbokick - with my weighted gloves might i add.

I got to borrow ironman heather wurrtle's bike trainer today - well for the summer.  i can't imagain what it would be like to have extra $500 bike trainers laying around that had been given to me.   Anyhow I've decided to spend 1 day a week doing some bike trainging.  and since jim gets home so late, it will most likely have to be a lot of indoor stuff.  So my friend liz took a H.I.T. class this winter and bless her heart had saved all of the workouts. I would've gone nuts without them.  Oh yeah, I'm a weak biker.  This killed me!  the first workout went over an hour (it will build up to 2) and has a lot of cadence training. I still can't spin my legs that fast!

Anyhow it felt good and I was dripping sweat.  I'm excited to get stronger legs.

Treadmill run.  I started to feel my calves/ heels a little bit today.  That scares me a little bit cause I absolutely do not want to develop plantar fascitis.  I've seen too many people struggle forever with it. So I massaged it a bunch throughout the day.  I found a super painful spot,  well spots, on either side of my ankle. Almost down the the heal.  Well i dug into those and made myself cry a little.  They are sore sore sore and i hope i can run tomorrow.

50 pushups - had to take a break but got through them all on my toes.

whoo hoo!!! 7 miles.  I know its so not that far, but i had stressed all night and day that i wasn't going to be able to run today.  And that's the farthest i've gone post baby It wasn't perfect, and my heel felt a little numb.  But all the massaging i did on those trigger points helped for sure.  I think my feet just need to get stronger again.  Heels are not numb and actually felt a little better post run.  I felt pretty good on the run too. my average was 8:45, but i also ran back in 20 mph wind.  I even ran 1 mile in the 7s.  That's so slow comparatively, but it's great for me.  I was not missing running the Hurricane Half today (though I've won it the past 2 years) cause the wind was rediculous.  Why is it always windy for this race?

afterwards - 3 rounds ran 50 meters, 50 lunges

5 miles into cholla creek.  Ran by a house that had a guest house billowing smoke out of it.  I couldn't see anyone around  and a small fire right inside the door.  so I ran to the house owner...We came out with buckets to see if we could do anything.  The next part was a scene out of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.  Her father in law (old guy) came tottering out, and looked at us like "what?".  he had left food on the stove and it had caught fire.  Ok not funny, but his reaction was.  The guest house was severly damaged from the smoke.

6 miles pushing stroller.  My kids are such troopers.  Ivy just loves stroller rides and goes right to sleep.  At one point I had a "runner's emergency" and had to hop off the road into a field.  Bad timing though as a car pulled around the corner while in progress.  The funniest part is that now isaac is telling everyone that I poop outside.  I've got to laugh at it right?

Taught my first Turbokick class back today!  It was actually really fun and I didn't get as breathy as i thought I would.  Ivy did great in day care so that was relieving.  My feet felt better - I wore some Nike Shox so I think that gave some heal cushioning.  I miss my frees already though!  Hoping I can work back into them once I get this under control

I stopped by the running center and tried on some new shoes - I think I'll go with the Mizuno Waverunners. They are so much heavier than I'd like, but I'll live with them.  Picked up some shoe inserts too.  This is actually going against my beliefs of what a shoe should be, but they aren't getting all better with the shoes I have.

I really want to start running more!  But I need to get my plantars under control first.

I've hit another milestone - I'm running in the double digits again!  It felt hard today, and all kinds of parts of my body started hurting at one time or another, but I made it.  When i started out, my piriformis and hamstring bugged (and then went away), my feet burned about halfway through (and then went away), and my knees bugged here and there.  I officially need a massage.

I did a pretty hilly course running over the la verkin and back and averaged 8:22.  I'm just happy to see a couple miles in the 7s.  I also signed up for my first race!  Star Valley Half Marathon in July.  I'm so so excited cause it's on my old stompin ground, and I had to just watch it last year cause I was puking my guts out being preggo.

We tried to give Ivy a bottle today and she wasn't having it.  She got so MAD too!  I think she felt like we were betraying her or something.  ugh.  I need her to start taking bottles if I'm going to be able to go more than a couple hours.

We took all the kids and went to the avengers that night and I loved it.  my boys are such action hero freaks.  I was so amazed that ivy slept through the whole thing cause it was super loud.

Today was Evan's bday, so of course I overdid it the night before getting stuff ready.  I always see stuff on pinterest that looks easy - 2 hours later I figure out that I still have a while and it takes forever.  Needless to say, i was up til 3 getting the star wars themed party ready.  It was so worth it though:)

I did try to go running when i woke up at 10, but i walked outside and it was 90 deg already!

So I was happy when I actually followed through and went on my run that evening.  I started it at 8 pm, and was really going to try and do 11 miles.  Actually, my back and glute were hurting, so I was telling myself to try for 8.

I did the watertower loop for the first 7.5, and my glute hurt the whole time - not unbearably though.  It was ok enough to circle around and get the last 4 miles.  The whole run took 1:40 - I had miscalculated and actually done 12.  I could feel it cause I was way tired and sore and hungry.  I'm so happy to have completed it though!  I'm still looking forward to the time when this feels easy again!

My feet get sore, but I'm happy to report - No HEEL PAIN!   I do have to give my feet an ice bath every few days, but that seems to keep everything at bay:)

Wow!  I didn't even come close to waking up in time to run outside before Jim left. Alarm set for 5:30 - woke up at 9am lol.  Ok so another dang treadmill run.   switched between uphills and downhills every half mile.  I averaged a 7.5, so that made me happy!  I know it's not smokin yet, but it felt challenging.  I still have 10 lbs to lose, and i can feel the extra weight.  I'll be that much faster when I start to lose it!  I'm sure 5 of it is just in my boobs. um tmi???

I am getting to where I'm not eating enough again cause I get busy taking care of my kids and I wake up famished.  So trying to make a goal to eat!  Why is it so hard for me?  It's hard when I can't eat dairy cause something with cheese is usually my go-to meal if I'm rushed.

My back/hip/ glute thing felt a little better today, but both hips ( i think it bands) were sore from saturday's run.  time to roll and roll and roll.  I could still feel the back the whole time but it was better.  I think my it bands are causing all the tightness in this area so i'm going to focus on them.  I am so glad that my feet are doing better!!!

The run felt pretty decent.  I did experience the weirdest thing though.  I was short on sleep time, and for the first 5 miles, I actually felt like I could lay down right there and go to sleep.  It wasn't so much physical/muscle tiredness, just exhaustion.  Oh man the joys of having babies.  Jk.  i adore my little girl, and she has been so good most the time.

8 miles on the treadmill - I kept trying to find a time to run all day, and it kept on being pushed back till i finally ran at 5 pm.  I had barely eaten all day so it was a pretty weak run.  I ran the second half faster, last 3 miles at 7:00, 6:55, 6:50.

This 12 felt harder than my 13 last week.  It was 90 deg for half of it and I was pushing a little harder today and averaged an 8 min mile with all the hills (my first 2 were really slow).  Sooo I'm getting better. My "slow" is getting better anyways.  My "fast"  has yet to be seen.  I need to get my endurance up before I attempt that though.  I ran from Toquerville to Hurricane where Jim picked me up.  I went from feeling "I love to run so much"  to "Oh man, 3 more miles!!!!".  I need to get a good solid longer run to get my confidence up a little bit.

I ran in the mizuno waverunners today and really liked them - a bit heavy but my feet felt a lot better.

Man could i be building up any slower.  I keep trying to add on more miles, but it always ends up the same at the end of the week.  i guess it's good that I scaled back this week.  hoping to hit a 14-15 miler at the end of the week, and maybe a 9 in the middle.

i really need to find people to run with!  I'm at the point where I need people to push me a bit.  My husband works such awful hours that it's hard to find people to run super early.  And I can't go too far away to run with people cause Ivy won't take a bottle yet.  ugh...

I didnt get my run in til the evening but i did it!

8:16 average - I ran the watertower loop backward (with lots of uphill), so I'm happy with that.  I'm still waiting for this distance to start feeling better.

5 miles on the treadmill.  I ran the last mile at a 9.0 - it felt so good to speed my body up a bit.  My knee and the hamstring insertion started bugging pretty good.

Wow, I didn't realize how many miles i was going to hit this week.  That may have been a little much..

k so i really wanted to get 15 in today and wasn't going to do anything less.  I got out the door by 6:45, so i should've been fine.  I noticed I was already a little tired from the get go, and running up the hill to the highway felt decently challenging.  I turned and ran towards Leeds.  I was feeling pretty good, but stomach was starting to hurt - I thought this was just the gel i was taking.  I hadn't eaten anything beforehand, and I really should've.

After turning around I had 4-5 miles of gradual to moderate uphill to climb, and I was feeling it.  Around 10 miles, I even felt the need to walk a couple times.   My stomach was hurting pretty good, but I had to just get home.  That was my only option.  I'm so thankful that my last 3 were downhill cause I wouldn't have made it without.  My water didn't seem to be refreshing me, and the gel wasn't giving any energy

The run was a bit slower than planned - though I still averaged 8:17. I had pushed my 2 previous runs a bit, so I was ok with it overall.  I got home and my hubby went on his run.  My stomach was really hurting, so I just tried to chug a couple bottles of water.

bad idea

And then it gets worse.  I just laid down by my baby on the floor and tried to drink stuff, but just started feeling sicker.  It took everything I could just to pick her up and get to my bed.   I was not in a good place.  everything i was drinking was not going down.  And then i lost it.  Everything I had tried to drink came back up. My body was in pain.

this had happened before.

I called my neighbor to get me to the instacare.  My father in law showed up and took me.  How embarrassing.  Well I got there shaking, freezing, and in pain and just gritted my teeth til the i.v. took effect.  I threw up again.

An hour later I was finally out of pain.  It was dehydration again, and just took me by surprise.  it wasn't that hot outside, and I hadn't been running fast.  I ran 12 miles, and then 13 miles in previous weeks - I should've been fine. I will be vigilant in taking my salt pills from now on!  It's that simple.

I ran up and back the half marathon course and I was definitely feeling the altitude.  I was kind of discouraged running out as my times were way slow.  i didn't realize how much of an uphill that was til I turned around.  I flew on the way back!  It felt good.  2 x miles at 7:30 (up) and then 7:05 (down).

This race is seriously amazing!  It's so pretty, the course is just how i like it, and it is extremely well organized.  They give out over 100 raffle prizes, including a treadmill (though I didn't win anything).

So I did better than i thought i would today!  It's still hard to look at my watch and see that my exertion level does not match my times from last year, but I'll get there again.

I made sure that I ate pre - race (banana), and also took a 1/2 of 2 gus on the course.  Also took salt pills.  My stomach handled it pretty well.

I was a little nervous leaving Ivy as she still will not take a bottle.  She does pretty well for at least 2.5 hrs, so all i had to do was not bonk and she'd be fine.

This course was on my old stompin ground in star valley, wy, and I really wanted to do well!  Based on times that I was running in training, I knew that my speed/endurance was just not there post baby yet.  I was thinking I was going to average 7:20-7:30s.  It really is weird to push your body like you used to, and not get the same result.  But I was going to try my hardest.  I knew that there were a couple ladies there that would give me some competition, so I had my work cut out for me.

The beginning was at the top of a dirt road in the mountains, and warming up was a little tricky.  It was steep down both ways, so I kept it short.  I got to see a few friends including josse.  It was so good to catch up with her - and I knew that she was going to push me.

I decided to just run fast down the first 2 miles of hills as I was going to need a little bit of a boost to stay ahead of these ladies.  No one really challenged me right off, and I thought maybe I'd have a better day than I thought.  It's funny how down hills can make you feel fast and confident:)  after about mile 4, i was already thinking "oh crap - this is a long ways to race".  The middle miles were rough  -definitely more uphill than i thought they'd be, and it's been a while since I felt like quitting in a half marathon.  Number 2 lady passed me while i was tying my shoes, and then again after she took a bathroom break.  Josse caught me at around mile 10.  I knew I didn't have much more in me as it was taking me everything to finish.  I actually did try to speed up and catch her at the end, but she was speeding up too.  That was all I had left.

splits are 6:34, 6:39, 6:56, 7:16, 7:05. 7:13, 7:31, 7:40 (ouch), 7:38, 7:26, 7:28, 7:12, 7:01.

So I guess I'm happy overall as I did better than my expected time and I guess it's respectable for just having a baby 4 mo ago.  3rd place and a sweet carved wooden plaque (and $25).

I was so proud of Jim for running the entire thing with a nagging sprained ankle!

This was such an amazing run (besides the fact that my ab trigger points were bugging - and my quads were still quite sore).  I got to run around palisades lake on a dirt road that was anything but flat (my favorite).  It was so incredibly beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the road was traveling.  I was pretty tired by the last 2 miles - I'm still feeling it from my race on saturday.

I attempted to actually run somewhat fast today.  My legs were feeling good, but my ab/back thing from last year completely froze up (it feels like a permanent side ache) - especially when I ran fast and/or downhill.  It was quite painful  getting home.  time to work on my trigger points.

So a slow 5k time for me, but that's where I'm at right now post baby.  It's good to be running in the 6's again.  I felt pretty good for the run, but that's about as fast as I can push my legs right now.  Ran 5 very painful miles afterwards!  Where was my energy?  I'm wondering if i was still hammered from my half marathon - or the traveling - or the late nights in star valley.
