Wow, I didn't realize how many miles i was going to hit this week.  That may have been a little much..

k so i really wanted to get 15 in today and wasn't going to do anything less.  I got out the door by 6:45, so i should've been fine.  I noticed I was already a little tired from the get go, and running up the hill to the highway felt decently challenging.  I turned and ran towards Leeds.  I was feeling pretty good, but stomach was starting to hurt - I thought this was just the gel i was taking.  I hadn't eaten anything beforehand, and I really should've.

After turning around I had 4-5 miles of gradual to moderate uphill to climb, and I was feeling it.  Around 10 miles, I even felt the need to walk a couple times.   My stomach was hurting pretty good, but I had to just get home.  That was my only option.  I'm so thankful that my last 3 were downhill cause I wouldn't have made it without.  My water didn't seem to be refreshing me, and the gel wasn't giving any energy

The run was a bit slower than planned - though I still averaged 8:17. I had pushed my 2 previous runs a bit, so I was ok with it overall.  I got home and my hubby went on his run.  My stomach was really hurting, so I just tried to chug a couple bottles of water.

bad idea

And then it gets worse.  I just laid down by my baby on the floor and tried to drink stuff, but just started feeling sicker.  It took everything I could just to pick her up and get to my bed.   I was not in a good place.  everything i was drinking was not going down.  And then i lost it.  Everything I had tried to drink came back up. My body was in pain.

this had happened before.

I called my neighbor to get me to the instacare.  My father in law showed up and took me.  How embarrassing.  Well I got there shaking, freezing, and in pain and just gritted my teeth til the i.v. took effect.  I threw up again.

An hour later I was finally out of pain.  It was dehydration again, and just took me by surprise.  it wasn't that hot outside, and I hadn't been running fast.  I ran 12 miles, and then 13 miles in previous weeks - I should've been fine. I will be vigilant in taking my salt pills from now on!  It's that simple.
