-I'm an avid runner and crossfitter turned obstacle racer.  This year has brought on new and unexpected opportunities racing in Spartan races.  I'm in love with this new challenging part of my life.

Here is what I've come away with so far

1st - Socal Super Spartan 2013

1st - Texas Sprint Spartan2013

2nd- Las Vegas Super Spartan 2013

3rd - Arizona Sprint Spartan 2013

3rd - Atlas Obstacle Race 2013

5th - Spartan World Championships 2013

Future Races

October?? maybe Sacramento Beast Spartan

December - Texas Beast

Short-Term Running Goals:

I am working to become the best obstacle  racer I can be.  If that goes hand in hand with a National Championship title, than I will have met 2 of my goals/dreams.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Another sub 3 hour marathon

Sub 1:20 half marathon

I want to complete an ironman and some ultra races.

I Hope to be running until I'm 100.

Personal:

I have 2 boys (7 and 4) and a little girl (14 months) that keep me on my toes and make life worth living..  I've been married to my better half (Jim clark) for 10 years.  I teach fitness classes and am a personal trainer - my 2nd love is Zumba!  I love what i do!

I hold Obstacle Training Groups at my house on saturdays -I feel so blessed to be able to help others.

This 12 felt harder than my 13 last week.  It was 90 deg for half of it and I was pushing a little harder today and averaged an 8 min mile with all the hills (my first 2 were really slow).  Sooo I'm getting better. My "slow" is getting better anyways.  My "fast"  has yet to be seen.  I need to get my endurance up before I attempt that though.  I ran from Toquerville to Hurricane where Jim picked me up.  I went from feeling "I love to run so much"  to "Oh man, 3 more miles!!!!".  I need to get a good solid longer run to get my confidence up a little bit.

I ran in the mizuno waverunners today and really liked them - a bit heavy but my feet felt a lot better.

Man could i be building up any slower.  I keep trying to add on more miles, but it always ends up the same at the end of the week.  i guess it's good that I scaled back this week.  hoping to hit a 14-15 miler at the end of the week, and maybe a 9 in the middle.

i really need to find people to run with!  I'm at the point where I need people to push me a bit.  My husband works such awful hours that it's hard to find people to run super early.  And I can't go too far away to run with people cause Ivy won't take a bottle yet.  ugh...
