-I'm an avid runner and crossfitter turned obstacle racer.  This year has brought on new and unexpected opportunities racing in Spartan races.  I'm in love with this new challenging part of my life.

Here is what I've come away with so far

1st - Socal Super Spartan 2013

1st - Texas Sprint Spartan2013

2nd- Las Vegas Super Spartan 2013

3rd - Arizona Sprint Spartan 2013

3rd - Atlas Obstacle Race 2013

5th - Spartan World Championships 2013

Future Races

October?? maybe Sacramento Beast Spartan

December - Texas Beast

Short-Term Running Goals:

I am working to become the best obstacle  racer I can be.  If that goes hand in hand with a National Championship title, than I will have met 2 of my goals/dreams.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Another sub 3 hour marathon

Sub 1:20 half marathon

I want to complete an ironman and some ultra races.

I Hope to be running until I'm 100.

Personal:

I have 2 boys (7 and 4) and a little girl (14 months) that keep me on my toes and make life worth living..  I've been married to my better half (Jim clark) for 10 years.  I teach fitness classes and am a personal trainer - my 2nd love is Zumba!  I love what i do!

I hold Obstacle Training Groups at my house on saturdays -I feel so blessed to be able to help others.

kids now have my flu:(  lots of snuggling with them today and lots of rest for me:)  i massaged my abs a ton and got them to feel a bit better.  I went out and ran 4 miles just to get out, and everything felt good.  abs are a little sore again, so will dig into them tomorrow again.  can i do a marathon when they are in this condition?

I went to the chiro today and he got everything adjusted.  then i had hubby massage my back.  i really think my problem is coming from tight obliques in the back.  it was mighty painful.  I will really have to take it easy next week to get these things to heal.

I decided to run the marathon, but will have my husband check on me a couple of times to see if i want to finish. this marathon isn't worth injuring myself further.  I'm also hoping my lost fluids from the last couple days won't kill me.  I want to take it easy the next couple days - may not even run.

Oh TY!!! sounds like a rough week especially when you have a marathon saturday! You are smart to take it easy.

Honestly, you have so much energy and courage I'm thinking you will have a great race Saturday regardless of your injury and flu this week. Just listen to your body, , ,I'll be cheering you on!!! It's been so fun to run with you lately, you inspire me :)
